About the final exam

The final exam will have twenty-seven questions, divided into five sections, one for each section of the course. You will be asked to answer ten questions, with the requirement that you answer at least two questions from each of four sections. The remaining two responses may come from any section. Each section will have from four to six questions.

The twenty-seven questions will be culled from the following list, which itself is a shortened version of the longer list below it. In preparing for the final exam, you may wish to look at the longer list of questions, as well. The questions on the final will be almost exactly the same as the questions, with the following two small changes. First, in a few cases, I have combined two Reading Guide questions into one exam question. Second, in many cases, I specified the philosopher to whom the question refers.
