>From MILDRED FERENTINO:

"If we do not follow his directions, we shall harm and corrupt that part of ourselves that is improved by just actions and destroyed by unjust actions." pg 50

>rm says: This tells us what will happen if we don't follow the one. There are positive reasons to prefer the one over the many, as well.

>From nr:

plato argues this point by saying that it is better to have understanding of one man who has the understanding of just and unjust, and what is good for us then to have the opinion of many that will injure us. this correlates with the fact that he believes that it is better to have a good life rather than just a life.you should put value on the opinion of one man which is just.

>rm says: Good, so the question is whether it would be right to escape.

>From KAI YU and WAI YAN:

if you follow the opinions of many, then it cause the contradiction in terms it becomes unjust.

>rm says: How does following the many cause a contradiction in terms?
